Zolmist Nasal Spray is used to treat acute migraine attacks. It works by narrowing the blood vessels, thereby relieving migraine headaches and preventing the attack from becoming worse.
How to use
Use the zolmist nasal spray the dose and duration as advised by your healthcare provider. Carefully read out the zolmist nasal spray label for directions before use. Insert the nasal spray tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the zolmist spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breathe softly and keep the head upright. Repeat the same exercise for the other nostrils.
When not to use Zolmist Nasal Spray:
Wolff-Parkinson-white syndrome: this nasal spray is not prescribed for use in patients with a known history of wolff-Parkinson-white syndrome cause an increased risk of disturbances of the cardiac rhythm.
Peripheral vascular diseases: this nasal spray is not prescribed for use in patient with a known history of peripheral vascular diseases cause to the increased risk of worsening of the patients condition.
Uncontrolled hypertension: this nasal spray is not prescribed for use in patients with a known history of cardiovascular diseases because of the increased risk of worsening of the patients condition.
Cardiovascular disease: this nasal spray is not prescribed for use in patients with a known history of cardiovascular diseases because of the increased risk of worsening of the patients condition.
Allergy: this nasal spray is not prescribed for use in patients with a known allergy to zolmitriptan.
