Acivir 800mg DT

This medicine is to be taken whole. Do not break, crush or chew. This medicine should be taken only if prescribed by the doctor. Acivir-800 DT can be taken with or without food in dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It is advised to take it at a fixed time. Acivir-800 DT does not cure herpes but prevents the infection from spreading and treats its symptoms.

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Rash
• Nausea
• Skin sensitivity to sunlight
• Fever

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and may disappear as your body adapts to the medicine. If any of the side effect you experience persists, consult your doctor.

• Do not take more than the prescribed dose as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include extreme fatigue, seizures, agitation and fainting. In case of overdose immediately consult a doctor.
• This medicine should not be taken if you are allergic to any of the components that constitute this medicine.
• If you are 65 years of age or above or have kidney disease or had kidney transplant any history of heart diseases, have HIV/AIDS, are pregnant or planning pregnancy, this medicine should be taken with caution and only if prescribed.
• Inform your doctor about all other medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements and herbal products you are taking at the time.
• Drink plenty of fluids as Acivir 800 DT can cause dehydration and kidney damage.
• Use protection during sexual intercourse to avoid the transfer of genital herpes to your partner.
• Avoid driving or operating any machinery or any work which requires extreme concentration as Acivir 800 DT can cause dizziness.
